Hello
I am running Ubuntu 11.10 with the latest kernel.
No activity when plugging in USB drive to USB OTG port. What is
required for kernel changes to allow me to use this OTG port to access
a USB drive.

Thanks
laurence

Hello
I believe so, B To A with conversion to regular USB host port.
Does the Ubuntu 11.10 kernel have changes to allow the port to function as a host instead of device.
I think that may be my problem.
I am using an external 5v power supply to my board.

Hi,
I have seen the same problem on Natty (kernel 2.6.38), OTG does not
work.
But if you configure it as device it works fine as device.

the OTG side must be a mini-A with the ID pin correctly grounded
for it to have a chance to work...

Vladimir, Thanks,
Do you have a source for the correct cable. The one I have I bought
from special computing, same place I board ny case for the Pandaboard.
It's a USB Mini-A OTG Cable.

that cable should be ok:

It's still no guarantee that OTG host is going to work correctly
with your setup, there is a SW side to that as well...

Exactly. That was my reason for asking about kernel patches or kernel changes. I had a look at the latest kenel source.
From what i could see the EHCI code for the OTG port is already in.

HI Rajendra,

I am very sorry to write you. But you may solve my question. How can I
configure the PandaBoard as USB device???

Thanks a lot in advance...
