Has anyone built and tried L27.8.2 Pandroid? It's not booting up
properly on my pandaboard. Can you spot if it's a configuration issue?
The boot log is here:

http://pastebin.com/MUBQgDkW

PS: The pre-built binaries behave the same.

Here's another log, this time it's stuck with a cursor on the top
left.

http://pastebin.com/nm4ryKJA

with repetitive messages:

This is using pre-built binaries.

Hi Snip3rboy,

Where are you stuck at? If you are stuck at the Android banner (ie
past "text mode" android), can you look at logcat for clues? I don't
have a panda board, but is experiencing an issue on Blaze.

Hi Snip3rboy,

Where do you get stuck at? Text mode Android, or the graphical
Android banner? Did you get any logs from logcat?

I have a similar issue on Blaze (am trying the prebuilt binary now),
just wondering if we are hitting the same thing.

Regards,

Paul

For L27.8.2 pre-built binaries, refer to http://omappedia.org/wiki/L27.INC1.8.2_OMAP4_Froyo_ES2_Community_Release_Notes

Please note: http://omappedia.org/wiki/L27.INC1.8.2_OMAP4_Froyo_ES2_Community_Release_Notes#Limitations.2FKnown_Issues

"GFX package MUST be installed in order to load GUI in this release. Package can be obtained from the GFX link"

The release should work fine on Blaze.

On PandaBoard, I see the same issues as snip3rboy with a blinking cursor on the top. Since the display options are different on PandaBoard, we are not sure what is causing the issue. We are looking into this.

Thanks

Geetha

Hi Geetha,

I took a logcat info anyway (see http://pastebin.com/s5qYqVJR).

system_server is crashing (among other things), causing zygote to
terminate.

Shouldn't this line say it's for Panda?
"Build fingerprint: 'generic/blaze/blaze/omap4sdp:2.2.1/MASTER/
eng.root.20101203.103949:eng/test-keys'"

By the way, does the x-loader discussed in
http://groups.google.com/group/pandaboard/browse_thread/thread/166ecb8ec54cd54d
resolve the 512MB detection on the Panda, instead of 1GB?

Regards.

Currently blaze buildspec is used for PandaBoard. The product spec for PandaBoard hasn't yet been created under product/ti in afs. This is in ToDo List...

Please try the below bootargs...
setenv bootargs 'console=ttyO2,115200n8 mem=463M root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rw rootdelay=2 init=/init vram="32M" omapfb.vram="0:24M"'
mmcinit 0;fatload mmc 0 0x80000000 uimage; bootm 80000000

Mine got beyond the cursor and Android UI comes up. Mouse movement works, but the coordinates seem to be off. I'll look into it further on Mon and let you know. Please let me know if this worked for you.

Thanks
Geetha

This worked for me:

setenv bootargs 'console=ttyO2,115200n8 mem=463M root=/dev/mmcblk0p2
rw rootdelay=2 init=/init vram="32M" omapfb.vram="0:24M"'
boot

When I do mmcinit..... it doesn't work.
