Hello,

I had too much segfaults with recent Ubuntu and Linaro kernels (3.0,
3.2 were OK, but not 3.4 and 3.6).
I discovered "linux-stable" this weekend, and it was... rock solid stable.
http://morschi.com/2011/11/13/up-to-date-kernel-for-pandaboard/

But the proposed configuration don't install the USB PHY modules, so
that the ethernet connection is not working.
I tried different choices, but none worked.

By luck, wifi is working, I use it for now.

What kernel options do I need to activate in order to have ethernet
interface working?

Kind regards,
Xavier Miller.

Hello Xavier,

Enabling the following things should be enough:

CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_ROOT_HUB_TT=y
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_TT_NEWSCHED=y
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD_OMAP=y
CONFIG_USB_USBNET=y
CONFIG_USB_NET_SMSC95XX=y

Sincerely yours,

Hi,

I activated those options as module, and some of those modules didn't
automatically load.
I've set them as hard, and the ethernet is working :)

Thank you very much!

Xavier Miller.
