Wepresent a frame interpolation algorithm that synthesizes an engaging slow-motion video from near-duplicate photos which often exhibit large scene motion. Near-duplicates interpolation is an interesting new application, but large motion poses challenges to existing methods. To address this issue, we adapt a feature extractor that shares weights across the scales, and present a "scale-agnostic" motion estimator. It relies on the intuition that large motion at finer scales should be similar to small motion at coarser scales, which boosts the number of available pixels for large motion supervision. To inpaint wide disocclusions caused by large motion and synthesize crisp frames, we propose to optimize our network with the Gram matrix loss that measures the correlation difference between features. To simplify the training process, we further propose a unified single-network approach that removes the reliance on additional optical-flow or depth network and is trainable from frame triplets alone. Our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods on the Xiph large motion benchmark while performing favorably on Vimeo-90K, Middlebury and UCF101. Codes and pre-trained models are available at github.com/google-research/frame-interpolation.

I watch a lot of movies. I like the idea of something like letterboxd but would rather DIY it because I have more time than sense, apparently. Anyway, that's what we have here - some code that will read a specially formatted page in Obsidian, enrich it with data from OMDB, then save all that to a SQLite database (as well as create a linked page in Obsidian for the movie if one doesn't already exist).

I recently worked on projects involving multi-dimensional images and have completely and happily adopted a Jupyter-napari combination in such cases. The only thing that is still missing is the possibility to make movies out of napari visualisations, and so I put together a small solution for myself. As I though it might be of interest to others I tried to clean-it up and package it in a useful way, and you can find the result on the naparimovie repository with some instructions on how to install and use. I also want to be very clear here that this is not an official part of napari.

The package allows you to do two things. First, if you have a napari window, you can select a series of views (key-frames) and create a movie based on those. To capture and modify the key-frames I used the really nice possibility to create key- and mouse-bindings. To see how that works, see this example:

@guiwitz this is incredible! I just gave it a go and it worked right out of the box, see my gif at the bottom of this post. We love to see people build on top of napari in this way and are so happy to see this sort of work.

I strongly recommend placing the video in a project website created with GitHub Pages instead of the readme, like described in VonC's answer; it will be a lot better than any of these ideas. But if you need a quick fix just like I needed, here are some suggestions.

Currently, the file is stored as an asset outside the repository (sort of like an image uploaded to an image).

(Uploads to githubusercontent and stores it there. Then makes a link in the markdown to that uploaded image.)

For the blog case (which is what made us think about image upload to the repo) you're totally right.

This type of drag and drop is helpful when adding an image to a README or other in-repo documentation though (when you don't want to upload to the repo).

Even though this is an old post, I thought it would be helpful to mention an additional (partial and tangential) solution to this question on top of the very helpful workarounds that are already present in this thread.

At the time of writing (6 January 2021), GitHub has released a feature to upload .mp4 and .mov files up to 10 MB in size to issues, pull requests and discussion comments (as shared here). This is a direct embed, instead of "linking" it to external URLs as what we usually do. It is already out of public beta. You can attach files by dragging and dropping, selecting or pasting them. A preview of GitHub's new notice can be seen here:

This is an old post but I was looking for an answer and I found this: Just upload the video, then it creates a gif we can add easily in a github markdown. I tried it, the quality of the gif is a good one.

Drag and drop MP4 video, as mentioned in many other solutions above, but there's one important thing to do to allow the video being displayed nicely and embedded: leave an empty line above the url that displays shortly after you drag and drop the video to your section, like this:

I was struggling for soo long (since this feature is available on GitHub) till today to find this! Without leaving an empty line drag and drop never worked for me to achieve the expected look: the video simply doesn't display embedded, and just an url occurs. So if you do this...

Step:2 Then copy the link of the video or image in the repository you are trying to show. For example, you want to show the video of the GAME PROCESS from the link: ( -Faria/Thief-Robber-Landlord-Police/blob/main/Preview/gif_english.gif).You can simply write the following code in your README.md file to show the gif:

This post contains the list of the best Kodi addons for Kodi 21 Omeg and Kodi 20.5 Nexus. You can use these addons on any device that supports Kodi, including FireStick, Android TV, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, Raspberry Pi, Linux, and more.

This list primarily focuses on addons compatible with Kodi 21 Omega, the latest version of Kodi. Most of Kodi Omega addons are also compatible with Kodi 20 Nexus. However, you will also find some addons compatible with older versions of Kodi, such as Kodi 19 and 18.

Kodi Addons and builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free movies, TV shows, or sports. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect to a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).

You can start installing Kodi on your device if you are new. The download links and installation instructions are on the official Kodi website. If you want to install Kodi on FireStick, you may follow our detailed and step-by-step guide.

IMPORTANT: I highly recommend that you get a premium Real Debrid account. This service costs a few bucks but saves you a lot of trouble while streaming with third-party add-ons. Please refer to this guide to set up Real-debrid with Kodi addons.

Thankfully, there is a foolproof way to keep all your streaming activities hidden from your ISP and the Government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN will mask your original IP which is and will help you bypass Online Surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.

NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.

This addon provides free and premium streaming links scraped from the internet. You can integrate your favorite hoster services to access the premium links, such as Premiumize, Real Debrid, and All Debrid.

Aliunde is a video addon with a diverse library of on-demand videos. This addon from the Aliunde repository features movies, TV shows, radio, karaoke, YouTube videos, documentaries, and even a few adult videos.

Its lightweight nature is probably one of its best features. It has a sleek design and well-categorized sections. These tabs include Movies, TV shows, Kids, Healthy Eating, Fitness, Music, YouTube, and Adult.

Aliunde offers some free links, but Real Debrid links offer the best streaming experience. It is versatile, integrating seamlessly with Real Debrid, Premiumize, and All Debrid. It also supports Trakt.

As the name suggests, Nemesis AIO is an all-in-one video addon. This third-party Kodi addon offers a wide variety of on-demand content, from movies and TV shows to cartoons, webcams, music, and documentaries.

There is also a live sports section to watch live matches and replays. The adult content section is protected by a password, making it one of the safe addons if you share your device with other users.

Most of the video addons on this list offer free streaming links. Seren is one of the exceptions because it only works when integrated with premium hoster services. The addon offers free movies and TV shows, but you must use Real Debrid, Premiumize, or All Debrid to get streaming links.

This exclusivity makes Seren one of the longest-standing and most stable video Kodi addons. It pulls high-quality streaming links, mostly in HD and 4K. It also supports Trakt integration to manage your watch history.

SealTeam 6 is a third-party Kodi addon from the South Paw Repository. This video addon offers movies and TV shows. Like most unofficial Kodi addons, it scrapes the internet for streaming links. It is a decent VOD addon able to pull even the latest and trending on-demand content.

SealTeam 6 integrates with Real Debrid, Premiumize, and All Debrid. Although you can get free links on the addon, it works better with these debrid services. It also pairs with Trakt to organize your watched titles for easy tracking.

This video addon, formerly known as NavySeal Platinum K19, is a third-party Kodi addon for streaming movies and TV shows. NavySeal Just Click features a diverse library of VOD content, including 1-Click videos.

Crazy Canucks provides free streaming links. It also supports premium hoster services like Real Debrid if you prefer premium links. In addition, you can pair the addon with your Traakt account to synchronize your watching history.

Alternatively known as Base 19, Base is a video addon hosted in The Crew repository. It offers various VOD content, from movies and TV shows to family content and documentaries. However, the main focus is on movies and TV shows.
