i have a panasonic frame and fork which i purchased from a local
importer of used japanese bikes. in 2008. of the 2000 bikes...only
about 3 were road bikes...rest were city tourers and mt bikes. i would
like to find out if anyone knew anything about the CHELBO ARTNATURE
team or any photos..i trust this is a racing bike. custom built for
hideki kobayashi who it seams...is a colnago fan...as this bike has a
straight fork oversize top tube and does look like a copy of a master
x light with straight fork..Bottom bracket is Italian too. any
information welcome.

Wow! interesting bike. Sad the japanese copy the Italians...when it should be the other way around. Neat Bicycle. Look at the relaxed head
angle, seems like its somewhat I like the track bike I have by Panasonic, steep seat angle and relaxed head and offset...but maybe its just my eye.
That is probably the most rare panasonic made?
Thanks for showing. Sorry no info to offer.

thanks so much Zac...

More information and details.

i have to correct my Panasonic- the sticker says CHEBLO ARTNATURE.
sticker with japanese name - i had it translated HIDEKI KOBAYASHI

size of top tube 29mm diameter, down tube 29mm diameter.ITALIAN thread
BB oversize

49 x 53 toptube center to center.

sticker on the seat tube says "ORDER SYSTEM"

left chainstay has sticker "AEROSHELL assembled by AKIZUKI"

i know its special bike..the lugs are special...oversized...and the
rear dropout..is special lug insert.

Straight fork front dropout special luginsert...YES relaxed geometry
AND HANDS FREE stable front end..

i suspect its a climbing bike..low bottom bracket.

serial number please let me know what it means..9506229

i will upload more fotos..if its a 1995 bike....it has scratched
paintjob...but there is chrome underneath the seatstays..so ill just
keep it as is...its currently equipped with ultegra 9speed and am
using it to race in criteriums.so yes..it does work fine.

You killing me Ray...
The dropouts are like on the panasonic track too. Neat how they are external to the tube. The panasonic order system is likely the semi custom options
that are availiable that made Panasonics special to me. It gives a tweakable fit that really moves them out of the realm of mass produced and more
like a custom. The OS option is a great way to adjust strength to the riders output. Low bottom brackets are a nice benefit too in my estimation, since pedals
have increased in clearance over the years, yet most bikes still remain high. Lower the better.
Yep....more pictures please.
There is a guy named T-Mar, he knows serial numbers that are for rare and hard to find bikes. He is helpful and knows much about bicycles from Japan...maybe
Thee expert infact of the 80's era.

1986...he is currently the head of STRENGTH SECTION of the Japanese
Amateur Cycling Federation.

ONO-san...surely he will ring a bell..he used to be master frame
builder for Panasonic..and some panasonic bikes bear T.ONO means...he
was the one who made those panasonic bike.

i have a foto of him somewhere..ill post here later.

any information on mr Hideki Kobayashi (i have his bike..) and CHEBLO
Artnature team...i wish somebody can pullout a picture...that will be
appreciated

edit..

i was registering my bike by memory yesterday at my
condominium..without seeing my bike..(in myhouse).

Thanks Ray,
I think your doing great on showing bikes to us. You have an impressive amount of neat history on these bicycles.
Takao would be interesting to talk with. I might be able to find some information on Kobayashi, and have a friend that knows this stuff.
I can only hope Ono-san made one of my bicycles.
Nice to have you share this.

Hi Ray,

I'll take the old seat or trade you for??? The Mag. Regal you have is a better seat than a Rolls.
Beautiful bicycle. Your a lucky man.
good job on putting some real bars on. You can use a 100 stem and a longer reach bar by the way, or a 12 stem and a shorter reach like the Nitto 177
Take care of that beauty and ride it fast.

Reading about this Panni encourages me to take the Team Europe II out for a ride.

Hey Ray, I have either a 90 or 100 Nitto stem if you need one. My Europe II has the wrong stem (Nitto) so I am replacing it with the Nitto Pearl that it should have come with.
