Minutes:
a) Chairman welcomed the members and informed leave of absence of other invitees
b) Chairman updated the Trust activities done so far in a very detailed descriptive manner right from the start of the Trust :
i. Chairman appreciated the sentiment and commitment shown by all the members of Pananjadian families and the interest and expression of support shown by the local residents in the Pananjadi village
ii. Outlined the Necessity for organising Nithya Poojas at the temple, plan for renovation and Kumbhabhishekam in the year 2013 at an estimated cost of of Rs 25 lacs, selection of sthapathi and contractors for renovation – .
iii. Circulated the draft of the Appeal Letter to the Public – both English and Tamil versions, it was reiterated that it has to be finalised and to be printed out in this month of April 2013
c) Considering the sentiments, Naadi Josiya Astrological indications and comprehensive family representations, it has been decided to keep the number of Trustees at eleven. Members present agreed to induct the following members as TRUSTEEES with effect from the Trust Deed date .

d) Then the Members views were exchanged in the interaction as follows:
i. Mr M Ramakrishnan read out the Naadi Josiya script with meaning predicting 100% success of the Trust objectives inspite of the initial slowness in work progress
ii. The Treasurer informed that the current bank balance as on date is Rs 6.25 lakhs and that the work can be commenced once we accumulate the bank balance of Rs 15 lakhs i.e. a little more than 50% of the costing estimates of Rs 25 lacs
iii. Members expressed confidence that the minimum target of Rs 15 lakhs can be achieved in the next two months and hence the work can be commenced in May/ June 2013 nearer the day of Guru Peyarchi & Agni Nakshathra Nivarthi– both falling on (28.5.2013)
The Treasurer Sri K Sankarasubramanian and /or Sri R.Padmanabhan to meet the Astrologer Mr Govindan of Tirunelveli in the next two weeks and fix up an auspicious date for the work commencement
iv. It was clearly expressed all the donors will be issued a receipt by the Trust and no money collection shall happen without receipt. Members have been told to tell the Donors that as of date, 80G exemption is not available for donations to the Trust .
v. Both the English and Tamil versions of the draft Appeal Letter to public were discussed and accepted to include - in a descriptive form- the actual extent of the damage to the temple structures necessitating the renovation work. All Members agreed to revert to Sri N Raman of their feed backs in a week’s time after which these would be considered before the final printing
vi. Views were exchanged and it was agreed that we can approach the public – with the above brochures – once the renovation work is commenced so that any inspection by the public agencies will vouch for the funds support (both in cash and kind) request made by us. Using free ads in the news papers and print media, Vikatan AMR Appeal for temple renovation, Corporate support etc will all be taken up once the work is commenced .
e) Immediate Action targets set before the next meeting:
i. All members to explore and achieve funds collection target of Rs 15 lacs to facilitate the commencement of the renovation work
ii. Trustees concerned to meet the Astrologer Mr Govindan of Tirunelveli in the next two weeks and fix up an auspicious date for the work commencement.
iii. Trustees to meet the ARCHAGAR / Locals to formalise a standard time both in the Morning as well as in the Evening for Nithya Pooja with daily Naivedhyam. Putting local people monitoring and daily dakshina to archagar are to be done for the same.
iv. Printing of English and Tamil Brochures for Appeal to the Public after meeting E.O of the temple
v. Treasurer to explore with Lakshmi Vilas Bank to convert the Trust A/c into a Savings Bank A/c and with an Auditor for 80-G benefit to doors – both without undergoing any Registration of the Trust with LOCAL AUTHORITY
