Hi all,

Two new riders today:

Hi, I am Albert Lee, from Auckland, New Zealand, I am doing the PanAm right now, started at Ushuaia on 16 March, now at Villa la Angostura not far from Bariloche. my destination is Cartagena, Colombia, I need to complete my journey before mid October, I am on crazyguyonabike, here is a link to my page if helps http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/rideforever2015.

My wife and I have cycled through most of South America and parts of Africa/Pacific over the years (in several trips) and while it is not quite possible for us to take sufficient time off to ride the entire Pan-Am in one hit, we have covered most of the 'southern' parts of it (Punta Arenas to Bolivia/Peru on both sides of the Andes). Later this year, we plan to ride from northern Mexico to Panama, and I thought I'd ask at this newsgroup for recent information relating to some of those places - for example, northern Honduras. We do not have a website; perhaps being somewhat older, we do not wish to put our life on the internet for everyone to see. Thank you. Stan Ronalds

Thanks Paul

I am now at San Pedro de Atacama, I have problem with my Rohloff gear changing cable while I was in Susques, I made temporary repair but to have the proper one sent from Germany it will take 2 weeks.

The bike mechanic (Japanese Brazilian, owner and operator) on Calle Antofagasta managed to modify 2 gear changing cables and replaced my old cables. this is first time for him but its now like brand new.

so if you ride Rohloff and has problem with your cable in the area, San Pedro has a shop can have it fixed!

Albert
