Gday We’d like to introduce ourselves – Ken and Julie-Anne Fox (aka Travellingfoxes), we are two Aussies who have dedicated our lives to travelling and adventuring since 1986. What started off as your usual weekend and monthly holidays expanded into a life style that far surpasses anything the we could have ever imagined in a thousand years. We have been avid travellers/cyclists/outdoor enthusiasts our whole life, and prefer to be known and seen as healthy/active/multi-sport individuals, as we don’t like to pigeon hole ourselves into any one category. We participate in numerous sports such as triathlons and running of all lengths, as well as hiking/camping/overseas travel and backcountry adventuring. We have taken on numerous challenging adventures over the years ranging from multiple extended overseas backpacking trips, supported cycling tours, and unsupported backcountry hiking of the John Muir Trail (JMT) 23o miles (370km) in the Sierra Mountains, California, USA. This current journey initially had us embarking on an unsupported (approx 4200 mile – 6760km) – bicycle ride (coast to coast) across the northern tier of the USA which quickly grew to coast to coast and border to border (Canada to Mexico) 7000miles – 11265km, which ultimately ended up being (including all detours) 8958miles – 14417km. This Epic Journey has had such an impact on us that we have decided to chase our dreams further and attempt to cycle onwards through Mexico to Central and South America. BLOG:
