PAN Track on Personality Recognition in Source Code (PR-SOCO)
http://www.autoritas.es/prsoco/

held in conjunction with the FIRE 2016 Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation
8th - 10th December 2016, Kolkata

----------------------------------------------

Author profiling consists of predicting an author's demographics (e.g. age, gender, personality) from her writing. Personality traits influence most, if not all, of the human activities, such as the way people write, for instance in the case of software programmers, the way they write and structure their source code. In the PR-SOCO shared task we will address the problem of predicting an author's personality from her source code. Personality will be defined along five traits using the Big Five Theory, which is the most widely accepted in psychology. The five traits are: extroversion (E), emotional stability / neuroticism (S), agreeableness (A), conscientiousness (C), and openness to experience (O).

Hence, in the training phase PR-SOCO will provide participants with source codes of programmers together with their personality traits. In the training phase, given a set of source codes of programmers, the aim will be to identify their personality traits.

We cordially invite all researchers and practitioners from all fields to participate in this year's PR-SOCO edition.

Hi Paolo,

just a couple of questions:

1 ) Is pan-works...@googlegroups.com the correct mailinglist for
PR-SOCO?
2) Of which programming languages will the dataset consist of? Will it
be a single language or multiple?
3) How many code files will there be per programmer who took the test?

With regards
Matthias
