Hi :) I'm one of the participants of this year's PAN2014 in the field of TEXT ALIGNMENT.

I hope that someone who knows answer about my questions reply as soon as possible. :-)

1) I heard that if more than 6 words are equal between source document and suspicious document, that is plagiarism. This is world's standard.
Is PAN2014 has its own standard about plagiarism?

2)  I want to execute Baseline Python program which can be downloaded by the pan.webis.de website with using Virtual Machines. When we can get accessing information about Virtual Machine?

3) Would you like to explain detailed about performance estimation process after submitting our software submission?

If you answer about those questions, then it will really helpful to me. Thank you and have a nice day :)

Where did you hear this? I've never heard this before, and I believe
it is utterly wrong. There are many definitions of plagiarism out
there, and most of them are very unclear and a matter of debate.

Within PAN, our simple working definition is that plagiarism is a
piece of reused text where the author has intention of deceiving a
reader into believing it is his own writing. Our evaluation corpora
contain plagiarism cases which attempt to emulate this situation in
many different ways.

We will distribute this information in time before the early bird
submission deadline. However, please develop your program at your
site, since the virtual machines are not supposed to be used for
development purposes, but only for deployment.

With regard to this, I can refer you to last year's overview papers:

(see Section 5)
