Dear PAN participants,

We invite you to participate in the track on Author Profiling and Deception Detection in Arabic (APDA) that will be organised at the Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation (FIRE) 2019. The track will consist of:
  • Task 1: Author Profiling in Arabic Twitter (age, gender and language variety identification in Twitter)
  • Task 2: Deception Detection in Arabic Texts (in Twitter and news headlines)
The training datasets will be released next week. More information at http://www.autoritas.net/APDA/

Important dates:

27th May – training data release
15th June – test data release
25th June – run submission deadline
15th July – results declared
30th August – working notes to be submitted to track organizers for peer review
15th September – working notes reviews due
25th September – working notes camera ready submission to track organizers
12-15 December – FIRE takes place in Kolkata, India
