Dear Martin,
This is a rather trivial question but just for the sake of completeness I
would like to ask you if you need a specific label for the texts outside the
training set existing in the + and the verify datasets. We could just leave
blank the relevant author id or something else?

For documents that you do not believe are written by the author in the
training set, just leave the author id blank.
