A Poll on State Housing Legislation: SB-9

FOR THE RESIDENTS OF PALO ALTO

The California Legislature has introduced a major housing bill, SB-9, which removes local residential zoning control from cities, and instead dictates it top-down from the state.

SB9 will allow the following:

     - Every residential lot in every city can be split into two lots

     - A duplex can be built on each split lot, thereby replacing one home with up to four homes

     - Zero affordability requirements. These will be market-rate homes

     - No requirements to provide sufficient parking

     - Developers are not responsible for the costs of infrastructure upgrades

     - No individual or city can oppose or stop this. It will be the law.

We are asking the residents of Palo Alto to give us their opinion on this legislation in a single-question poll.

Do you oppose or support this legislation?

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK TO GO TO THE POLL AND PROVIDE YOUR OPINION.
