Dear Friends and Family,

This year has gone by quickly... The annual Susan G. Komen Foundation's Race for the Cure is coming up quickly on September 27th! I will be participating for the fifth year in this event to support this community event and to help raise funds for research, education, prevention, advocacy and treatment of breast cancer.

I continue to participate annually in the Race for the Cure in honor of my grandmother - a breast cancer survivor. In our communities, everyone knows someone who has been touched by breast cancer. I will also be participating in honor and in memory of those who have been impacted by breast cancer.

Last year, you supported me in this cause and helped me raise nearly $1,200 for me to walk! THANK YOU!!!

This year, I have put a challenge to myself:
Raise $1,000 (this is a difficult economic time) and RUN 5K!!!

I know with your support, I will build the confidence to successfully run this race, and with your continued support, I will be able to not only meet, but exceed my fund-raising goal. (And for those of you who know me oh too well... I do not run, so this is definitely a physical challenge!)
