-----Location: Bastos and Mount Febe Areas, Yaounde, Cameroon
Event: Criminal incidents involving expatriates in the Bastos and Mount Febe areas of Yaounde have increased. Two men with machetes recently robbed and assaulted an expatriate while walking on Mount Febe. Similar attacks in the Bastos and Mount Febe areas have been reported.
Actions to Take:
· Do not physically resist any robbery attempt..
· Do not display signs of wealth, such as wearing expensive jewelry or watches.
· Avoid walking alone on the streets. Walk in groups or travel by car whenever possible.
· Remain aware of your surroundings. Avoid wearing headphones while walking.
· Be especially cautious when entering/leaving restaurants, bars and clubs at night.
