Greetings to all Pamolite out there.
In the past 3 to 4 years, Pamolite Littoral has organized a year-end celebration every December. The idea behind this has been to;
1) Bring active Pamol children in other regions to share in a common meal and share in the idea of bringing Pamol children together wherever they are under the canopy of Pamolite Association.
2) To thank God for a successful meeting year as a family.
3) An opportunity to get to know our families, friends and relatives of mostly the younger generation.
Members have always contributed to see to it that this day is a successful one. The formal Management of Pamol has always been in attendance and their support is worth mentioning. The day is mostly characterized by jokes, chatting, eating and drinking with very little interventions which are always very informative for the growth of Pamolite Association.
Sometime in 2015 before the crises got to it's worst, Pamol Littoral had made available 7 complete computer systems to Lobe Estate Groups 3 and 4 Primary School as a means to help digitalize our younger ones. This dream died a natural dead as a result of the Sociopolitical crises hitting NOSO Regions of Cameroon.
With the advent of the crises, many families had to flee their comfort zones and our parents, brothers and sisters of Pamol were not left out. Littoral registered an influx of more than 700 Pamol persons, 67% or more of which were children.
Pamolite Littoral from her usual free will contributions could accommodate 4 Pamolite and 3 Pamolite families for a period of 1month which was enough time for them to get a temporal place of settlement.
During the back to school campaign in 2017, Pamolite Littoral made available back to school items worth 650000frs to displaced Pamol children who were in the Littoral Region and it's environs at the moment. These items could not be enough due to the population, but since it came from members free will donations, we could not give what we did not have.
Cases of stranded Pamol Children in hospitals in Douala with serious health issues and lack of finances has always been the responsibility of Pamolite. Thanks to the Pamol children who work in some of these hospitals, we are able to get information about the more than 5 cases that have benefitted from the "on-the-spot" contributions by members of Pamolite Littoral. Intervention and support in cases of deaths are so numerous.
These are some of the reasons why we must thank God each year and make Merry for bringing us this far.
2020 has come with it's numerous setbacks. Pamolite Littoral has not given up. We have as Paramount goal, to;
1) Provide for in our little way to the displaced Pamol families in Littoral this December to enable them enjoy the festive period like they used to back home in Lobe.
2) Encourage them and if possible provide transportation for them to relocate to Lobe soonest as it is the fervent wish of the New Management. Work has started in Ndian Estate above 60% and Lobe Estate just took of a month ago with technicians rebuilding the factory. Hopefully every other department will be in place by May 2021. We wish to encourage the workers to go back.
With the had times, especially with the advent of Covid-19, it's been a difficulty task for Pamolite Littoral to meet the needs of our needy brothers and sisters around us. This explains why this year, the year end celebration slated for 5th of December 2020 @ H Club, will be a fund raising event as well. We have a target of 1.2million and we know it will not be easy to raise all of it on our own.
We call on Pamolite of Goodwill in the Global platform to support us realized this goal. Anyone who is around can also join us in the celebration.
