I have a ton of mods but the infinite loading screen only seems to happen after I save and quit to return later at specific locations. The first time i ran into this problem, I had entered Whiterun and saved and exited. Later I tried to load it up and got stuck with an infinite loading screen and the sound of water, like a running river. I was able to boot the game up by just loading a save outside of whiterun. Didn't run into the problem again. Later on, I went to Dawnguard and got the quest to go to Dimhallow Crypt to kill vampires. So I go and kill most of the vampire but had to go to work, so i saved in the crypt. Later, I try to boot up the save and i got an infinite loading screen. I tried to remove mods in bulk to try and figure out which is the problem for 3 hours without luck. I'm worried ill corrupt the save so I stopped. I tried to load up the old save I had at dawnguard and it also has an infinite loading screen. I have a ton of mods but I'm sure its one of the bigger ones like texture overhaul or something. Anyone have any idea on what it likely is?

when you get a partial load like that, have you ever tried force killing it with program manager, then doing it once more (and even once more after if it fails again)?. I've had situations where it takes a few tries, as if Skyrim housekeeping is a bit behind and just catching up (for instance, after I've installed a new mod recently and its contents haven't been incorporated into the save I'm opening.

I'd avoid wiping any mods to try to open a problematic save, that can just compound the issue. If you can't get it to open and suspect some new mod, you may have to accept backtracking to a working save after purging the offending mod

I can't force kill the program because of the loading screen going full black if I try to switch screens or anything related. I have to reset my whole PC to stop skyrim by that point. No idea what it is honestly.

To avoid such a harsh response to the game locking up, you should be able to use ctrl-alt-delete to call up the program manager (in most cases), and even if mouse control is temporarily lost, (sometimes is, sometimes isn't) scrolling through its screen to find and kill off the Skyrim instance (use the delete key to kill a program) should still be available via keyboard. If mouse is lost during such an event, it will come back once Skryim has been terminated (ie "killed" in my parlance)

I always open program manager and leave it open so that I can alt-tab into it if things go haywire, but even then, sometimes I have to resort to ctrl-alt-del to escape the Skyrim shell into program manager.

Nothing else makes me feel so hateful and infuriated than dealing with Fallout 4 right now. Despite all the bullshit textures that randomly decide not to work, I enjoy the game when it is working. But then Bethesdas miraculously somehow functioning garbage heap inevitably crashes or gives me an Infinite loading screen.

I almost never have to load saves due to dying. 99% of all my saves, other than reloading saves to explore dialogue options, are loaded due to crashes or times when I have to force the game closed due to Infinite loading screens.

Whenever I get an Infinite Loading Screen, I'll still hear the loading screen click (like when you rotate the displayed image) after forcing it closed. There's a second program running as a Background Process in task manager for Fallout 4.

I sorta narrowed it down to what I was doing at the time, but my theory was nothing more than a hunch - I am playing Survivor Mode, and have modded console access back in, as well as the survival mode save function mod, back into the game (because having no ability to save is a complete joke), and when I was opening my console up to enjoy the TFC 1 function, or to adjust FOV etc, while playing, this problem was most noticeable.

One time I reloaded the game while the first instance of Fallout was still "running" and sure enough, I heard the loading-clicking sound in addition to my (second instance of) game running. My game was unplayable of course, frame rate around 1fps, fan sounded like a plane taking off, PC barely responsive. Had to restart PC again.

I still think it is related to console-use, but it's just a theory. I also think that your save-file will have become corrupted if it is happening repeatedly, and removing that save file completely is a good remedy. I am in the habit of saving back-up save files now before each play session, and having 15 save files in my folder only.

This bug, in addition to VATS freeze, in addition to "Graphics driver has stopped responding and has recovered", in addition to "Runtime error - Virtual Function blah blah blah" crash upon exiting, in addition to horrible stuttering when walking around concord/red rocket, makes the game barely playable in my opinion, and almost altogether un-enjoyable.

I'd also point out that the Commonwealth has always performed poorly for me. It's why I quit. I came back for Far Harbor, and Far Harbor ran really well. I had / have problems when I go back to the Commonwealth, but not on the Island.

I think something to do with the Mysterious Serum screws with my game. I'm not sure though, it could have just been coincidence in the past but I am now too paranoid to do Cabot stuff. Mysterious Serum is/was one of my favorite items in the game too...

This is all just a Bethesda game for you. Shitty Hodge-podge games that are addicting when they work right. I imagine mostly due to there just being no other games that give the same feelings / play the same. Most "RPGs" are third person games with specific characters and more linear gameplay that may or may not let you alter the way your character looks to some extent.

I have such high hopes for Cyberpunk 2077. I'm hoping for a Bethesda-like experience (As it sounds like that's what they're going for. Open world, custom character, sandboxy RPG), but with the quality leaving Bethesda in the dust. *Goes to listen to the Cyberpunk teaser again*

Yes, ENBoost. Only one release was called ENBoost, all after that are simply called ENB. Latest release is 0.307 so if you are still running the one hosted on the Nexus, don't. Get the latest binaries from the ENB site.

And Far Harbor running smooth while the commonwealth performs poorly is a bit odd since FH is more demanding due to all the fog. They are in different cells, obviously, but while cell corruption can happen it shouldn't plague nearly all of them.

Hello guys!
I downloaded RDR 2 from Epic games months ago (October) and I immediately started playing it with mods without any issue since the first day I had the game.
After that, I quitted playing it for a while and, in these last days, I decided to resume playing it and here I became face several issues, in particular the infinite loading screen one (story mode of course).

I tried pretty much any fix found online, but nothing seems to work. After reading various forums and discord servers, seemed that the issue was my scripthook / asi loader, so I deleted 'em (just for a try) and the problem seemed solved, but next here we go again with infinite loading. I also tried removing all my mods, but the problem was there yet, without any sense.
Yesterday, I was able to launch the game correctly, even with all my mods installed and everything seemed fine, I played it for a couple of hours without any issue and then, when I closed the game and tried to re-launch it, I got again an infinite loading screen. No changes were made between the two launches of the game. This makes no sense.

I'm asking pretty much everywhere on how to solve this problem, but since the behavior of the game seems to not follow any logic, it's really difficult to find a fix.
This is not the first game I mod, and I have never had so many issues to find what is the problem.
Last night I also figured out that a new scripthook version (Alexander Blade's one) came out, so I immediately downloaded it and installed it: at first launch the game loaded correctly (mods included), but, after closing it to try again if everything was ok, I got the same issue.

Can someone help me? Where am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your attention! From links below you can see my RDR 2 folder, lml folder and lml mod manager screen.
