Dear Sally,
Join Peace Action of New York State in imagining an end to the last 20 years of war and then join with us and others to take action.
Estimates of the cost of the last 20 years of U.S. wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syra, Pakistan and north Africa, are that 929,000 people have been directly killed, and that the U.S. will have spent over $8 trillion. (Source: Cost of War project, Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs).
On this 20th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan, our protests and resistance must continue if we are going to bring this to an end.
