Dear Sally,
A very happy New Year 2020 from all of us at CTAUN!
Our upcoming conference

is less than 2 months away and registration closes on February 14th; if you plan to attend we encourage you to register now. If you have already registered please forward info about the conference to colleagues.
The outline of the day is available under 2020 CONFERENCE, complete with the list of speakers and their bios. (You can find individual speaker's bios by clicking on the speaker's name) - and here are some publications authored by them:
- Leymah Gbowee: Mighty Be Our Powers, a Memoir, Beast Books, NY
- Tony Jenkins, Chapter 15, Exploring Betty Reardon's Perspective on Peace Education, Dale Snauwaert, editor, Springer
- Michael T. Klare: All Hell Breaking Loose- The Pentagon's Perspective on Climate Change, Metropolitan Books (this is also interesting as a follow-up to last year's Conference theme)

- James Taylor Ranney, World Peace Through Law, Replacing War With the Global Rule of Law, Routledge
- Cora Weiss: Waging Peace in Vietnam, Chapter 10, Bringing POW's Home, New Village Press (NYU) NY
The conference includes an InfoFair where you can meet peace builders from local and international organizations and collect valuable resources for the classroom. There will also be an opportunity to meet the winners of the Excellence in Education Award, and the winners of the College Poster Contest.
Everyone planning to attend the conference needs to register in advance (no later than 16 February 2020) in order to receive a Special Events Pass for access to the UN building. You can register HERE
We have arranged special hotel rates for conference registrants, valid any night between 26 February and 1 March, 2020. For more details, or to make a booking, go to CTAUN2020HamptonInn
