Hey! The #NoFamineWhileCongressFeasts rally is TOMORROW, Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving at 3pm. Please help us spread the word about this rally to protest Yemen famine. The final National Defense Authorization Act will likely be finalized as soon as Congress returns from their Thanksgiving feasts. And Democratic leadership (Schumer & Pelosi) need to know their constituents want them on public record insisting on an end to U.S. participation in this atrocious war -- via the annual defense spending authorization bill.
We are calling for #NoFamineWhileCongressFeasts rallies in multiple cities the day before Thanksgiving -- including outside Schumer's Midtown Manhattan office. The NYC rally will take place TOMORROW, Wednesday, November 27th, 3-4pm, at 780 Third Avenue in Manhattan. We are demanding Sen. Schumer make a public statement supporting the Khanna and Malinowski Yemen amendments that will end U.S. participation in this war, which is starving and killing people everyday. We urge you to share this link to the rally with your contacts: https://www.facebook.com/events/512759409454839/.
Please let us know if you are able to attend the rally and/or if you are able to share the information with your contacts. You can make signs on your own demanding Schumer issue the public statement, and use the hashtags #YemenCantWait and #NoFamineWhileCongressFeasts.
In solidarity,
Isaac, Somia & Taryn
P.S. Can't come but want to support? Help grow our grassroots, volunteer-led movement this Thanksgiving. Donate here. We are particularly looking for people to donate $5-10 per month to help sustain our work.
