Action Alert

A group of international volunteers including people from the USA, Sweden, the UK and Spain are currently accompanying civil defense rescue teams in Gaza.

Tell your political representatives to end complicity with Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity.  Remind them that all states parties to the fourth Geneva Convention are legally required to demand that Israel cease its attacks on civilians and medical personnel. Continue to take to the streets demanding an end to Israeli impunity. Continue to support Boycott Divestment and Sanctions of Israel until it complies with its obligations under international law.

Yesterday, the international human rights defenders accompanied Palestinian volunteers, Civil Defense and other rescue crews, as well as family members, into the Shajiya neighbourhood in Gaza. They attempted to locate survivors of overnight and ongoing shelling by the Israeli army. A young Palestinian man wearing a green shirt, whose identity is still unknown, hoped to find his family. He was shot by an Israeli soldier while crossing an alley between buildings. Two additional rounds struck him as he lay injured on the ground. His dead body could not be recovered.

The ambulance shown in the video was shelled by the Israeli military, killing paramedic Faud Jaber.

Dr Mona el-Farra of the Red Crescent Society in Gaza told ISM that, “The Israeli military  is targeting medical facilities. 77% of medical facilities in Gaza have sustained damage, some of which have been completely destroyed.”

“They said we would be able to evacuate the injured from the disaster zone, but they have been shelling ambulances,” stated Dr Khalil Abu Foul of the Palestinian Red Crescent, speaking from Shajiya.

Today Israel has bombed the Al Aqsa hospital in Dier Al-Balah killing at least four and injuring 30 people, mostly patients.

End Israeli Impunity - Free Palestine,
