I would like at the beginning to welcome you to the results of our poll no. (183) and to thank you for your interest in our polling activities, which reflect hopes, fears and concerns of the Palestinian people. The highlights of the findings are as follows:
(43.7%) of the Palestinians oppose the invitation of Netanyahu to president Mahmoud Abbas to
address the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.
(56.0 %) anticipate a new confrontation with Israel.
(51.3%) oppose the continuation of the running peace negotiations with Israel.
(57.7%) anticipate the failure of the Palestine-Israeli negotiations.
(67.5%) are to various degrees worried about another potential military confrontation with Israel.
(55.4%) are pessimistic about the perspective of the success of the peace process between the
Palestinians and the Israelis.
(62.0%) are in favor of conducting presidential and PLC elections in the West Bank and Gaza
Strip.
