Robosub members have been hard at work this past week. The ME and CS team are on schedule for the architecture deadline. The EE team, however, expects to be fully complete with ordering parts by the end of the week. This is due to inherent complexities in PCB design, layout, and implementation. That being said, a vast majority of our design is already completed, so this minor hiccup shouldn't be detrimental to our next deadline of having the sub built by March.
A few important reminders for everyone:
-have at least two short clips and 5 photos of your team working on/discussing Robosub for use in a promotional video by 2/15
-next pool test is scheduled for February 8th 2:30-5pm at the Gibb Pool.
This pool test will be testing vision, path, and movement control implemented by the CS team. It will also incorporate new sensors such as the magnetometer, and the EE team will be independently taking data regarding the pinger. We also plan to test torpedo function, all on an updated tether that utilizes the router rather than an ethernet cable (which we had issues with in the past).
Good job and keep it up Robosub!
