XCAP will be presenting its final grade-separation report to the Palo Alto City Council at 5pm this Tuesday (March 23). Note this is a special Tuesday meeting, not the weekly Monday Council meeting. The Zoom link is listed in the Council agenda PDF:
Please make a short comment on Tuesday night. It is critical that Council understands the residents' rail opinions. Feel no obligation to make a long speech--simply stating your likes and dislikes is sufficient.
Emails to Council become public, so only include information that you want made public.
In particular, note that the final XCAP report makes no recommendation for Charleston/Meadow. To provide the information needed for an eventual Charleston/Meadow selection, XCAP recommends that the City perform additional engineering and also collaborate with Caltrain's own grade-separation study. Public opinion will help shape Council's decisions on this future work.
Thank you for staying engaged!
