I have a client who wants a place to plug in their server and connect it to the Net (with a few static IPs to be made available), in the event that their building is inaccessible or Internet access is down for an extended period of time.
I’ve talked to some of the big players, but they want $850-$1,000/mo, just to reserve the rack space and connectivity (even if it’s never used). That seems expensive.
Does anyone have any suggestions on reliable—and reasonable—emergency hosting options?
Thanks,

Talk to Lynne,
NUVOX has a co-lo option that is very reasonable. ½ rack and 3 mb under $500
