I have had two of my small business clients tell me they have been telemarketed in recent weeks for around the same price….

I had no idea this person existed. Very good info! I will have to rummage around the site this weekend.
She doesn’t mention if that price point ($64) is per PC or what.
I’ve lost opportunity because people shop for price, and don’t realize what they are missing from local support when they sign up for a conglomerate. That’s OK.
I am slightly annoyed at the thought that I will have to nudge my pricing down as more conglomerates (Dell, HP, etc) move into the SMB MSP arena.
On a tech note, does anyone know of a tool that will let me manage antivirus, windows updates, etc WITHOUT a remote desktop session? Looking for a magic wand where I can log into a website, see 5 machines needing Windows Updates, Java updates, maybe antivirus, defrag, reg clean, etc.. that I can click some stuff and have it kick off the processes automatically without me manually logging in.

I sometimes drink Martini’s throughout the day too…there is nothing wrong with that…
Well I didn’t realize the entire page didn’t change. PLUS I found it two seconds after I posted, but I’m still not on.
Actually Brian did something really smart.
He simply wanted to test the capabilities of the current IT community who are registered here to a small, and very simple, test.
He wanted to see how many people would do the following:
1) Not pay attention to his 1st email about merging the news group
2) Not follow directions (this would be not specifically doing no. 1 above)
3) Ask numerous questions as to where to sign up (please see no. 1 & 2 above)
4) Have other people presume that they know what they read from no. 1 and post to the current group on how to sign up for the new group (please see nos. 1, 2, & 3 above)
5) Actually have people who have no pride or care about how they represent themselves by doing any of the above listed items
6) And finally, still posting to this soon-to-be decommissioned newsgroup.
Now, if you have fallen into any one of the above listed examples of “IT Professionals Gone Completely Berserk”, then congratulations you’ve won! To collect your prize, please post to this group one final time on June 1, 2009 to see what you have won. Once again, I personally congratulate each and every one of you who have completed this small, simple, yet very effective, test. I want to thank each and every one of you for your time and entertainment!
