I was running it in a virtual for some time now, but I installed the Ultimate x64 on my Dell 755 which is my main workstation.
Extremely easy install. No driver issues. It even installed all my video cards from the setup. I am running 8gbs and on a 2.66 core 2 duo, 3 22’s Ultra Sharps.
I like the different display options. It boots faster than Vista. The look and feel is still Vista.
I was able to join it to the network using the wizard. I had to turn on network discovery and file sharing.
I am having issues installing the Trend Micro Worry Free Client though. 1st issue so far I have ever encountered with that software even with the previous Client/Server editions.
I wasn’t able to run a setup/extraction of a printer software, so by right clicking I was able to run it in compatibility with XP SP2. SWEET! Office 07 installed fine, and when installing the Windows 7 driver for MagicDisk I got the not signed, but it is working fine. Also installed the normal edition of MagicDisk fine to. Going to finish installing my normal programs.. I HATE the fact that you cannot backup Ignition and Restore it… So many freaking passwords in that.
Going to load it on my XPS 1330 this weekend.
Looking forward to the Virtual stuff coming out next week.

Weird….. I cannot activate any Office applications over the web. I have to call in. gets an error saying the service is not available and to try again later. Haven’t looked it up, but I though it is interesting.

Dave,
Have you noticed that you are the only one in this thread using the [PalmBeachIT] (PalmB...@googlegroups.com) forum? That everyone else is using [Fla IT Pros] (fl...@googlegroups.com)? Come on, jump in, the water’s fine.

Good to know!
I will have to run some upgrades to see how that works, too.
I would really enjoy being able to move an x86 machine to a x64 machine.
