പ്രമുഖ ബാലസാഹിത്യകാരന്‍ സിപ്പി പള്ളിപ്പുറത്തിന് കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ
അക്കാദമിയുടെ ബാല സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്‌കാരം. ഒരിടത്തൊരിടത്തൊരു കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണി എന്ന
ചെറുകഥാ സമാഹാരമാണ് പുരസ്‌കാരത്തിന് അര്‍ഹമായത്.
കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണിമാഷിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായി രചിച്ച പുസ്തകമാണ് ഒരിടത്തൊരിടത്തൊരു കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണി.
1985 ല്‍ ചെണ്ട എന്ന കൃതിക്ക് സിപ്പി പള്ളിപ്പുറത്തിന് ബാലസാഹിത്യത്തിനുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാര്‍ഡ് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്‍.സി.ഇ.ആര്‍.ടി.യുടെ ദേശീയ അവാര്‍ഡ്, ഭീമ ബാലസാഹിത്യ അവാര്‍ഡ്, കൈരളി ചില്‍ഡ്രന്‍സ് ബുക് ട്രസ്റ്റ് അവാര്‍ഡ്, തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ സഹൃദയ വേദി അവാര്‍ഡ്, കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ്, സംസ്ഥാന ബാലസാഹിത്യ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റിയൂട്ട് അവാര്‍ഡ്, ഏറ്റവും നല്ല അധ്യാപകനുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാര്‍ഡ് എന്നിവ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
