Pink and Locked sections

Some Numbered list topics within Paligo has Pink sections that are locked. These sections do not export for localization and the sections that do export, is missing the translated text once they are imported back. 

Any ideas on what causes this issue? How do I unlock it and remove the pink highlight? Appreciate any suggestions or help.

There are Editor Highlight Settings. If you have Translation status turned on, that might be making it pink. If there is a lock, it's because you set the element to Do not Translate.

To remove the lock (have it sent to translators and able to import translation):

1. In the breadcrumbs, click the element to open its options. This means you have to put the mouse focus on the parent of the numbered list, right next to the lock.

2. If the options menu of the element shows "Disable element translation", this is not the issue I think it is - something else is wrong. But if you are on the element with the lock, the option should be: "Enable element translation". Click that.

The lock should be gone and the text will be translatable.

Now you need to find out how this happened and why.

OR - if the numbered list is pink because it is marked as already translated, you need to open the topic in the translation language and see what you can do there. Usually, the state of translation is for the complete topic. Are these topics marked as Translated? They should be locked then. You can change the release state to send it again.
