Тема: GSA session to be announced in the Paleopedology mailing list
Dear colleagues and friends,

Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session in the forthcoming GSA annual meeting, titled:

"T191. Soil, dust, and everything in between: current, Quaternary and earlier geological processes and records".

The session will explore research on the interaction between soils, dust deposits (e.g., loess), dust emission and landscape evolution in modern and geological time scales.

We have two invited speakers:

  • Missy Eppes, University of North Carolina, NC, USA
  • Rivka Amit, Geological Survey of Israel, Israel – The recipient of the 2024 Peter W. Birkeland Distinguished Career Award

Important dates:

  • 5 August 2025: Abstracts portal closes at midnight Pacific Time.
  • 19-22 October 2025: GSA connects annual meeting, San Antonio, Texas.

You are all invited to submit an abstract for this session: https://connects.geosociety.org/

Please forward this email to your colleagues and students.

Looking forward to seeing you in Texas,

Best,

Onn Crouvi, Mark Sweeney and Yehouda Enzel
