From Mike Ultee, the organizer of this meeting: "I’ve enjoyed the Zoom-based PALE ALES meetings we’ve had. The opportunity to connect with famous brewers like Chris White is a silver lining to this coronavirus crisis forcing us to go online. One idea that I had would be to have different small breweries and brew pub owners be invited to be our online speaker at future meetings. Being online allows us to expand our reach way beyond our local area. One idea that I had was to ask the brewer at Lubec Brewery in Lubec Maine, in the distant “downeast” section of Maine on the Canadian border. Pat and I have been going there for some 15 years in July to enjoy the cool climate, scenery and for her music opportunities at a music summer school that is located there. For the past couple of years I’ve gotten to know the local brewer, Gale White, and have brewed a couple of batches with him. I was just talking with him this morning about a beer we could brew this July provided travel restrictions are lifted by then. Anyway, afterwards I got to thinking that he could be our featured guest speaker at an upcoming meeting. I would be happy to serve as the interviewer if you’d like. What do you think?"
