This, my friends, is where you and I, “Palaver” a.k.a., Naomi Hinshaw-Hersh come to bare our hearts, souls, minds and I suppose, parts of our anatomies if we just can't suppress the urge, (though tastefully) with what I would say, with 'class or style'.

Relax! I have zero tolerance for smut of any kind and I have no respect for people who exploit others, in any way to degrade them so you can put your minds at ease as to what I may be getting you into here.

Also, I will not abide sacrilege. If you feel the need to make improper remarks regarding Christianity or any other faith or culture, there are other sites and groups for that. The fact that I am a Christian and I am Caucasian doesn't mean only white Christians can become a part of our group, on the contrary.

I VEHEMENTLY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANYONE WHOSE RELIGION, CREED OR CULTURE CONDONES THE INDISCRIMINATE CRUELTY AND/OR MURDER OF WOMEN, CHILDREN OR ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING. I DON'T CARE HOW PASSIVE YOU PROFESS TO BE. If you‘ve made it this far, chances are, you already have a pretty good idea who this outspoken, unstoppable, insuppressible Palaver is and God bless you! You’ve already demonstrated your loyalty, whether you know it or not, which is very likely why you‘re here.

If at any time, you disagree with me, come talk to me. If you’re man or woman enough to come to me mano a mano, I’m sure woman enough to hear you out. I may still not agree then but I will give it my consideration, having been made aware.

When an issue arises and I am wrong in how I dealt with it, I will stand corrected and if I have offended you, I will sincerely apologize.

If you have been invited to my Google group, Palaver’s Travels, it is for a specific reason. You are or have been directly or indirectly involved with my writing or my purpose for writing or you have been with me over the years and have seen me up to this point in my---travels.

Whatever the reason is for you being here, it is because you are a very important part of my life and I am truly grateful to be considered a part of yours.

If at any time you, with exception to my newly acquired friends, wish to “bow out” please do it as gracefully as possible sparing any dramatics that might ensue should an offense so terrible befall you that you couldn’t talk to me about it, given what I have already said and proven to you time after time.

As we delve deeper into Palaver’s Travels, more will be revealed to you discreetly and at the appropriate times and always, with the purest motives---but then, you already should know that too. If not, you’ll learn.

If you think I have the idea that I’m perfect, you’re wrong. Back in my less meaningful days, I often referred to myself as a “Recovering Fuck up”. However, I strive for perfection every day and with your help and my faith, I just might get there.

If you have any questions about any of the others in this group, I would encourage you to ask them. I repeat. You're all here for a specific reason and I grant you, you will get an honest answer from any one of my friends here in Palaver's Travels. It's what has set you all apart from all the average Joes in my world.

I’ve always wanted to give Erma Bombeck a run for her money, so when she passed, it was a great disappointment not only for losing one of my idols in the literary realm but she will no longer be sharing her irrepressible humor and her profound yet down to earth sentiments with me. Damn!
