So Simple
Sometimes we think good fortune smiles
On some more than the rest.
We read the latest gossip
‘Bout the ones who have it best
But have we stopped and thought a while
About how we’ve been blessed?
It’s really all so simple, friend
And worth our weight in gold
If we can learn to chuckle
When we think that we’ve been sold
To one who doesn't give a damn
And we're about to fold.
If we would use our energy
To make somebody grin
Instead of growing bitter
With our patience growing thin
We’d see the world so differently
And how the winners win!
