For Me and Mine


When I lay me down to sleep
And pray the Lord, my soul to keep,
I pray for my loved ones and mine,
That we may feel Your Peace sublime.

With every breath, I humbly pray
For Your Forgiveness for the day,
When we have failed to say or do
Those things that You would want us to.

I pray Your Mercy will be sweet
Each time I kneel before Your feet;
That I may feel Your warm embrace
Each time I seek Your Blessed face.

For all the souls who I hold dear,
I pray they feel Your presence near,
And those who need Your healing touch,
I pray Lord that You grant this much.

I pray it be Your will we claim
The morning light, in Jesus’ name;
But if we die before we wake,
I pray Thee Lord our souls to take.
