A Beckoning

Come here to me.
Lie down with me.
I beckon you.
While morning breaks
And all Earth's dew
Is fresh upon the ground,
Our passions are rekindled
And our hearts in rhythm pound,
Yet have not ceased
Since last we writhed
In savage wanton candor
We tipped the cup
That lovers sup
And drank our share of splendor.
The energy your touch sets off
No mortal has been given
Such power to boast
Or near comes close
To our fierce thirst
So driven.
When naked at the loins
We're joined
Unbridled now we're riding
As on we plunge to the next crest
Great waves of lust colliding,
Each sigh gives rise
To other cries,
Our final groans resounding
At last to fall
With heaving breasts
Our hearts both wildly pounding
We lie in afterglow to rest
The embers now receding,
And close our eyes
To daydream of
Us, making love this morning.
