Vibrant and colorful harvest festival of Onam is celebrated in the
beginning of the first month of Malayalam Calendar (Kolla Varsham)
called Chingam. This corresponds with the month of August-September
according to Gregorian Calendar and the sixth month of Indian (Hindu)
