It looks like the problem here is that the script isn't able to
acquire a webgl context. Please check that your video card is
supported, and that the driver is up-to-date.

Cheers,
ack

Well yeah,

This problem comes to me only when i boot Linux in my machine. When i use windows I am able to play the game in the the above specified URL. I guess my Linux is not detecting my graphics card. Figuring out what is happening with Linux. if anyone have faced a similar issue. Do help me out.

Pradeep.

Pradeep,

What gfx card do you have? Which version of linux are you running? Some linux distros won't bother to grab the enhanced graphics drivers for your card automatically.

I'd suggest running through a wiki pertaining to your linux flavour about getting 3D acceleration to work. As an example, Arch linux has a wealth of wiki articles for things like installing NVidia drivers correctly: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA

Hi all,

Well I am actually using Intel HD Graphics card. Though that prob exists still, I set my dev env in Windows today with the help of Cygwin.

I cloned the git repo for rescuefox and i did a "make submodule", so that the external modules are also cloned. When I accessed the index.html file in the src directory I am getting the error as attached in the screenshot.

I am able to get the game screen when i access the url http://rescuefox.mozillalabs.com

Can someone help me out of this ?

Thanks,
Pradeep.

Pradeep,

Make sure that you have the "security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy" set to false in about:config (go to about:config using your url bar).
