Assuming logistics work out, Bobby and I will be speaking publicly
about Paladin at HTML5 Dev Conf
<http://www.html5devconf.com/index.html> next Tuesday in SF.
This is the first time that we'll really be talking about in a
significantly public way, so it should be interesting.
In my mind at least, our goals for this conference want to primarily
be these things:
goals
==
* attract game engine
hackers to contribute immediately
* open discussions with
prospective game devs to understand their needs better
* publicize Paladin so
that potential partners (including open communities) find us
We'll be demoing RescueFox for the crowd and framing it as a
prototype and useful proof of concept, but one that we won't be
working further on in the near future. The idea is to put it up on
a labs site for people to play with themselves as well.
Bobby and Alan are working to get Paladin (and particularly Gladius)
in shape to accept an influx of potential contributors, and I'll be
working to add a "You Win" condition to Rescuefox. There will be a
bunch of bits and pieces that need to happen between now and
Tuesday, and I'll be sending out links early tomorrow to where we're
tracking them.
