I have ported the Comal interpreter, published by the KIM Gebruikers Club The Netherlands in the 80ties in a version for the Elektor Junior, to the KIM-1.
It was mostly finding where the I/O routines are and about the KIM-1 routines destroying X and Y registers. But it runs now, so we have another (structured) programming language for the KIM-1/PAL-1/PAL-2 etc.

It is a 10K program, with floating point and comparable to Microsoft Basic. As a language, it has much better facilities for structured programming.

I have some work to do like packaging,  documenting/translating to English, and have a look at SAVE and LOAD routines. I/O routines are well documented in a disassembled source now.COMAL SCREENSHOT 1.jpg

Thanks, Hans!
I'm very curious about this...

KGN COMAL for the KIM-1 is available. A structured interpreted language, 10K in size.
With a newly written manual.

I have now heard of COMAL running on a PAL-1 (Nils) and PAL-2 (Nlis and John).

On a PAL-2 configure that there is no RAM at E000-F000.
Otherwise COMAL will run wild!
