My KIM-1 build from Eduardo's PCBs is finally complete and working! Attached is a picture of it running the sample program for the KIM-1 user guide. I had to place a minimum order of 5 pieces for all the PCBs, so if anyone is interested in building one of their own, please reach out to me, as I am just looking to recoup my cost, which was ~$35 per set of 3 PCBs required for the KIM-1 (plus S/H to your location, I am in California).

Awesome!

I've got that board on my wish list but haven't ordered it yet.

I'm game -- but then I'll have the source all the other parts I need.

There is an interactive bill of material in Eduardo's repo https://github.com/eduardocasino/kim-1/tree/main/docs

And I've actually got some spare parts as I bought some of them in bulk (some were over priced as I wanted to look as original as possible):

1 x 6502 (tested) - Build requires 1 - $2.50/ea
9 x LM556 - Build requires 1 - $1.20/ea
9 x LM311 - Build requires 1 - $1.10/ea
3 x Switches for keypad - Build requires 1 - $2.00/ea
16 x 1N916 diodes - Build requires 4 - $0.25/ea
1 x 220nF Axial capacitor  - Build requires 3 - $11.00/ea
1 x 100nF Axial capacitor  - Build requires 5 - $6.50/ea
8 x 22nF Axial capacitor  - Build requires 1 - $0.75/ea
77 x 6x6x4.3mm SMD buttons for keypad  - Build requires 23 - $1.30 for 23
4 x 5K Piher PT-15 resistor  - Build requires 1 - $2.00/ea
2 x 27C64 EPROM - Build requires 1 - $5.50/ea

It's a beautiful build. The capacitors have very original look of early version of KIM-1!

Thanks! After seeing Eduardo's with the same style axial capacitors, I had to have them for my build. They did increase the cost of the build a bit.

Great, another KIM-1! Eduardo is doing great things, now with the MTU cards: videocard, floppy disk controller. backbone, I/RAM/ROM card.

100% awesome work by Eduardo. I'm actually having the motherboard and visual memory PCBs made right now :)
The issue is you have to have 5 made of each at minimum, so I have 4 extra of everything

I was able to build a serial interface today, transfer a program, and run it, so pretty happy with this build

Sharing another update. Been working with Eduardo testing his motherboard design. My plan is to use it as a backplane in a custom chassis
