Hans posted some articles from the german mag "Funkschau" lately on his blog.
One is the program 'lottery 6 of 49' ...
It's a program for finding random numbers for your  next lottery ticket.

So I encourage you to try this program and send the numbers to me.

find the sources as well as the papertape files.

The next drawing of the lottery is on saturday. If this group wins, we can open up a museum on the moon.

Give it a try!

How do you generate the random numbers? :-)

Well, yes, it's not really random. It loops through 1-49 while you keep the 0 pressed on the keypad.
Thats why it doesn't work with the Emulator. "keeping a number pressed" is not implemented ;)

So you have to take out your real thing .... I mean the PAL or KIM..

Numbers please!

It is important to note that the use of lottery programs for finding random numbers does not increase the chances of winning. Lottery drawings resultados gana are purely random and the probability of winning is not affected by the numbers chosen, whether they are generated randomly or chosen manually.

Agena, I think everyone here in this group is very greedy. Neil probably has a real KIM-1, so he is rich already. Liu definitely has a real KIM-1, so he is definitely rich.
But the richest man in the group is Hans Otten. He is a billionaire, no doubt: he has a COLLECTION of real KIM-1's! And he recently got 3 (!) Superjolt boards! 🤣

Take a look there

Cheers!

I have benefited a lot from the library that Hans has made available, to all of us. I think many of us have benefited from Hans Otten’s generosity and attention to details.

I also want to take this time to remember Bob Applegate  (Corshamtech) who made several interface boards for the KIM-1 and who was always generous with his time and knowledge as well.

I do consider myself rich to have working REV A KIM-1, but even more so, to have met people like Hans and Bob, who have done so much for all of us.

Thank you

Hi everyone,

I feel I must apologize. I didn't mean to offend or upset anyone.
My post is a joke from the first letter to the emoji at the end. I thought I was following the mood crumbs of the funny posts by Neil. I should have been more sensible.
For the importance of Hans Otten contributions to the community, I entirely agree with Jeff and I feel sorry for being disrespectful to all of Hans efforts towards the retro community, this group mostly.
For those who felt upset, Jeff included, I leave my sincere apologies.
Thank you all for your contributions to our community.
Have a great weekend,

Ronny

No problem, I already guessed you were not serious.
I did own more KIM-1s in the past, had to sell them. Always kept my original, which is now as museum piece above my desk.

I do feel rich having access now to all the information, my tools,  my collection of little KIM-1 clone systems, PAL-1, Corsham, Reproductions, SImulator, and seeing others also having fun with it.

About random numbers, reading the free running timer $1744 is a good start for a random number seed.
