PAL-2 expansion card guidelines

Hi Liu,

Are there any guidelines/recommendations for hardware expansion cards for the PAL-2? Specifically, for physical dimensions, like connector to board edge distances.

Hi Eduardo,

The connector information can now be finalized. Please check the attachments.
One attachment shows the distance between the two connectors, while the other shows the distance from the PCB edge to the connector’s outer side.


The connector on the PAL-2 is a 2.54 mm pitch 2x22 female pin header connector.

Any estimate on when the PAL-2 will be available for purchase? I put my name on the waitlist recently.

I am an original KIM-1 user from 1977. I am hoping to run the music program I composed from that period called "Audio Wave."  I have retrieved the machine code from my old cassette storage tapes and can't wait to try it on a PAL!

will the PAL-2 be offered through Tindie? Or are there other channels for purchase that I'm not aware of?

Haven't seen a link to a waitlist but if there is one, I would like to show my interest.
