Dear Sir,
I have received a “Final Warning “letter from Human Resource Department ARY Communication, in this letter I have been falsely accused of bad behavior with my colleagues & this Final Warning also falsely state that” there are many complaints from my colleagues & that I was verbally warned many times”.
I am really shocked to receive this Final Warning letter which is clearly in breach of Pakistan Labour Law, because there was no names of complainants & I have never been warn in writing or verbally for anything in my three years with ARY News. Please also note that no one from management discussed anything regarding any accusation leveled against me nor did any person from HR or senior management bothered to hear my version of the dispute if there was any.
Now that I am not only been accused of bad behavior in writing but my un-blemished career is also been attacked unjustifiably, I have to describe the events which culminate in form of this “Final Warning”. On 21st of April 2011 in evening shift, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem a senior news producer of ARY News (He was fired from Samaa TV because of his attitude problems, you can confirm this from Samaa TV HR) came to news room & loudly announce that he is been given full authority by Mr. Ammad Yousuf to fire anyone from newsroom or take off any ones trousers (that whole statement was in Urdu.) This was not first time that Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem purposely used foul language in my presence most of his sentences starts with “Maa or Behan abuses & and end in similar abuses though not directed at me but since I am the only Female Producer in News room I do feel harassed by his choice of words.
This attitude is well defined by:

(h) harassment” means any unwelcome sexual advance, request for sexual favors or other verbal or written communication or physical conduct of a sexual nature or sexually demeaning attitudes, causing interference with work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment, or the attempt to punish the complainant for refusal to comply to such a request or is made a condition for employment;
But on that Particular day Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem went all the way to humiliate & harass me with shouting & threatening me of dire consequences for no reason at all only, then I had to tell him to stop his verbal attacks & let me work. Strangely enough Sr. News Editor Mr. Massom Usmani who listening & watching all this bad behavior of Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem did not stopped Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem from his filthy verbal rage. I have previously verbally complained to Mr. Masoom Usmani about Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem ‘s foul language but he did not acted on my complains, and that particular day he appears to be encouraging this display of Pan Shop talk.
It is immense control & patience on my part that got me through this unbearable behavior of Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem & Mr. Masoom Usmani , Similarly Mr. Abdullah Farooqi also a senior producer news never missed a chance to remark on how I dress or look, instead of discussing official work in which I found him weak & this do create some level of insecurity in Mr. Abdullah (he never worked in newsroom in his previous job in Samaa TV & he was also fired from there for reasons unknown to me) so instead of trying to improve our collective work output he also follow the footsteps of Mr. Iqbal Azeem in practice of harassing staff specially me, a female.
Sir, I have worked very hard in ARY News, for which I was given a letter of appreciation, I have been working in Media for last 7 years & never been accused of non – professional attitude no one specially a female can come this far with BAD BEHAVIOUR. Just to remind you of my credentials I am attaching my CV so you can understand that a person like me is always focused on job at hand & do not have time for petty matters or ego nursing.
I would like you to take back this “Final Warning “ & ask Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Azeem to apologies for his abusive language & behavior to me in writing. Otherwise like every self respecting citizen I will take legal action against the following persons:

Mr. Abdullah Farooqi For Sexual Harassment/Defamation/Labor law/Bill of women right
Mr. Masoom Usmani For Supporting Sexual Harassment/Defamation/Labor law/Bill of women right
Mr. Ammad Yousuf For Instigating Sexual Harassment/Defamation/Labor law/Bill of women right
I sincerely hope that you will understand the duress & mental distress I am going through for being honest hardworking professional.
