1. All covert and overt military operations against the Baloch should immediately be suspended.

2. All missing persons should be procured before a court of law.

3. All proxy death squads operating under the supervision of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) should be disbanded.

4. Baloch political parties should be allowed to function and resume their political activities without any interference from intelligence agencies.

5. Persons responsible for inhuman torture, killing and dumping of dead bodies of the Baloch political leaders and activists should be brought to justice.

6. Measures should be taken for the rehabilitation of thousands of displaced Baloch living in appalling condition.

In case these preconditions were not met, the worst was already around the corner.

These are Mengal's demands.

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday endorsed the points raised by baloch leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Khan blamed a non-representative Balochistan government for the deteriorating security condition in the troubled province, reminding that the real political stakeholders in Balochistan had boycotted elections and that the incumbent assembly was full of corrupt politicians who were only interested in plundering public money.

“We strongly believe that all political parties should be allowed to function freely to prepare the stage for a representative assembly. They can then concentrate on emergency measures to redress the grievances of the people of Balochistan,” said Khan.

Commenting over the alleged covert and overt military operations in the troubled province, Khan believed military action against Pakistanis did not provide any solutions, rather it was a destructive process. He added that the province has faced five brutal military operations, each of which Khan pointed out, he opposed vehemently.

Seeking the light in the fast darkening scenario of Balochistan, the PTI chief said that even though the damage was extensive, it could still be repaired. He added that the issue of death squads and missing persons was alarming for the Baloch people where socio-economic indicators have already fallen to their lowest  lowest levels.

Appealing for the arrest of culprits in missing person cases, he also said that due to lack of data, families of thousands of missing people had no idea about the whereabouts of their loved ones.

Imran Khan further said that murderers of the former

Being the media person, we should also very respectfully and humbly raise the following questions.

1. At least 1400 Punjabi and Urdu speaking have been killed in Balouchistan during last six years, who would take their responsibility.
2. Where the billions of rupees have gone which were dished out by Punjab from its share in NFC?
3. Why sardar sahib is not talking about handing over of 95 per cent of area of Balouchistan to Balouchistan police and still insisting that present set up should continue?
4. Toll of missing persons authenticated by UN mission is not more than 68. Why this figure is being exaggerated and on whose behest?

We must raise these questions very respectfully.

Cheers

Even Mujib's six points ( which formed his election manifesto that awami league won routing all the establishment supported individuals) should have been respected and the constituent assembly should have met and discussed those while framing the Constitution of the country.  Akhter Mengal's six points should be supported by all those who wish peace return to Balochistan and the people of Pakistan should not lose another unit of the federation.extra judicial killings and disappearances are not acceptable and should stop once and for all and a truly democratic setup should replace the military dominated establishment thrusted cronies misrule in balochistan.

@ Dilshad, if it is one or 6 points what make a difference. I think 6 is very well chose to alarm us not to repeat the history. And this worked.

@Razi sb, no one is allowing killings of innocent if they baloch, punjabi, sindhi, pakhtuns, or anyone else. But when the security situation is so precarious and made volatile then who is killing who is a hard question to answer.

And once restore the govt writ then one can make sardars and general accountable about their deeds.

Question  is  whose script  it was  or  is. Hamid  Mir  ,no  doubt  is  presenting very  very  incorrect  picture  of  Baluchistan.
At  present minority Baluch  leadership  cannot  announce  an  kind of UDI .(Unilateral Declaration of  Independence). This  segment  of  Baluch  leadership  is  waiting  for  upcoming polls  to sweep  polls  like  Awami  League  in  1971. After attaining total  majority  this  leadership  will  announce  UDI. But  it  remains a  fact this  leadership  cannot  sweep  polls.
One  feels Hamid  Mir  like  a  parrot is reading out a  Foreign  Written  Script.

Nation  of  Pakistan  should  watch  carefully  the acts  and words  of  Hamid  Mir.His  knowledge  of  Baluchistan  is  very  poor. He  does  not  know  who  killed  Domki  women  of  Nawab  Akbar  Bugti's tribe. If a  man  like  Hamid  Mir  attemps  to  take  one  the  ISI one  feels   he  has  the  support  of  CIA  and  RAW.

Nations  face  falls  by internal traitors  and  not  by  external enemies.

Readers  must  watch  activities  of  Hamid  Mir.

who should be blamed for disappeared baloch youths' reappearnace as dead body.if  the army led fc 'called in aid of civil power' in balochistan had apprehended the accused, handed them over to the police and cases were registered against them and they were tried and sentenced then no one would have pointed the finger towards the army top brass. have mercy on your capacity to understand. had your son or brother been picked by identifiable force personnel and his dead body had been found  abondned neighbourhood you would have known towards whom to point your accusing finger.
have some heart. we do not want another genocide on our homeland as we remember what was done in "muslim Bengal", the only province which had voted overwhelimngly for the establishment of Pakistan in Jinnah identified "MUSLIM INDIA'
