Dear Friends,
Lawyer and social activist, Muhammad Jibran Nasir’s civil society campaign against terrorists and terrorist sympathisers has gathered momentum in Pakistan since the December 16, 2014 attacks on the Army Public School in Peshawar. The campaign has also called for the arrest of Maulana Abdul Aziz of the Lal Masjid, a known Taliban sympathiser. The campaign works under the banner of ‘Pakistan for All’ (PFA) described as a ‘Citizens Resistance Forum – fighting religious and state fascism.’ On January 16, the one month anniversary of the Peshawar attack, civil society along with PFA mobilised nationally and worldwide to hold protests/vigils in Pakistan’s major cities and in countries where the Pakistani Diaspora is in large numbers – including the USA, UK and Canada.
Muhammad Jibran Nasir is now reaching out to Diaspora Pakistanis and when I spoke to him this week, he suggested he would like to meet and speak to supporters online, hear their opinions, and get ideas on how to take this campaign forward. His concerns, among other things, include sustained Diaspora participation, registering PFA as a charity, fundraising, and maintaining a unified front.
We have arranged a SKYPE meeting with Jibran next weekend, before the next PFA protest on February 16, 2015. If you would like to take part in the conversation please join in.

Friends, the time is now! We have to help and channel our concern into something productive and meaningful! If you have points to add to our conversation agenda, please email them to me at the earliest.
Sincerely,
Amna R. Ali
On Behalf of ‘Pakistan for All’
