About the Workshop:
Android [ http://code.google.com/android/ ] is the Open Handset Alliance's mobile software platform. Come learn about Android and our vision for more open, powerful, and useful mobile devices. This session is a practical introduction to building Android applications using the SDK and developer tools. Omer Shakil, a Software Engineer at Google (currently visiting Pakistan) will walk through building a non-trivial application and use it as the basis for discussing the various facets of the Android application framework.
Agenda:
1. Overview of resources available to Android developers
2. Hello Android [ http://code.google.com/android/intro/hello-android.html ]
3. Few API Demos from the SDK
4. HTC G1 Live Demo
5. Q&A Session
Pre-Requisites:
You need to know Java programming to attend this hands-on/live workshop
