We are currently looking for strong RoR candidates that wouldn't mind
working for a new startup (www.ourleague.com) based in Riyadh, KSA.
The successful candidates would be ready to start and have strong
experience in RoR, Rails Deployments, Linux Server Management, MySQL,
and UI Technologies. Ourleague.com is a great place to work with a
small team with a great office. We should know, because we
(tekSymmetry) worked with the ourleague.com team to develop the site
and the 2 candidates would be working with our team to perform the
maintenance and eventually take over the development after our initial
maintenance contract expires.

* Must have experience developing professional Web-based applications
in Ruby on Rails and HTTP technologies (i.e. AJAX, JavaScript, HTML,
XHTML, XML, XSL, and CSS. Three (3) or more total years in web
development required. Experience with Perl and CPAN also desirable.

* Significant experience with Web application architecture and object-
oriented programming. Experience with Agile development is a plus.

* Experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL, Ability to
write SQL queries and create tables and views. Knowledge of Stored
Procedures a plus. Database design knowledge is expected.

* Experience with server optimization and multi-server production
environments (3+ servers), or writing software that runs on more than
a few servers, or experience with enterprise class software
development.

* Ability to concisely and effectively communicate technical
information to both technical and non-technical groups. Ability to
gather requirements and support end-users.

* Strong English Communication skills (reading, writing, presentation,
and speaking).

* Ability to Read Arabic is desirable but not absolutely required

* Strong teamwork skills, preferably in Internet-related operation
groups. Ability to work well with others, in both learning and
teaching roles.

* Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX variants. CentOS or RedHat
knowledge a plus.
