Analyze internal work order and perform mathematical calculations to determine the sequence of machining operations, tools, and people requirements.
To achieve and maintain an acceptable level of production and quality and ensure compliance with basic product specifications, quality requirements and concerns.
Work diligently to resolve manufacturing issues such as the reduction of scrap, quality improvements, and cost associated with production materials and secondary manufacturing processes.
Ensure work is as per drawing requirements to required tolerances in accordance to in-house procedures as directed by TD.
Review the blueprint and specifications, take measurements, and make adjustments to the machines all along the way.
Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, milling and thread chasing operations.
Candidate will be required to work within very close tolerances and be able to work in a production setting to meet on going production quotas.
Ensure sufficient quantities of proper raw materials and tooling available to maintain scheduled production.
Prepare list of required materials, tools, and equipment and prepare purchase order to obtain materials, tools, and equipment as required.
Ensure that all material is utilized properly so that scrap is kept to a minimum.
Resolve quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed.
Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
Contact supervisory personnel when raw product, events or finished products are not conforming to required standards.
Supervise and direct personnel to perform job efficiently and assist machine operators about machine problems.
Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand and schedule dictates and travel as required.
Maintain complete records of all completed jobs for future reference.
Use designated area for storage of materials and completed jobs.
Perform any other duties required by the management personnel to ensure realization of departmental and corporate goals.
Assist in the training of new operators for each machine.
