UAERamp Supervisor
Our client, an international food service supply chain company, is currently seeking a Ramp Supervisor to be based in their Afghanistan/Sudan Aviation Department. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, your primary objective is to ensure aviation operations on the ramp are executed safely and in accordance with the current Task Force Command Operations Orders (OPORD) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGO).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the flight Contingency Operations (CONOPs - flight plansroutes) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to, in cooperation with Aviation Management.
- Serving as the Aviation Representative for the Ramp in liaising between the Aviation and necessary parties, which includes Following flight schedules daily in facilitating delivery of customer's order.
- Ensuring receipt and delivery of cargo to and from warehouse.
- Monitoring flight traffic and managing Air Control Measures (ACM).
- Providing Briefs to Aircrew and Contractor Flight Managers on current and future situations.
- Liaising with Dispatch, Warehouse and Operational staff in ensuring correct and timely cross load of cargo
- Ensuring Ramp Safety at all times. Responsible for Recording and Reports of Aviation issues AARs, Incident Reports and providing measures for improvement on the Ramp.
- Ensuring that the Ramp is kept up to standard for operation, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) is minimal, AC Maintenance schedules are followed, and Ramp is serviced accordingly.
- Notifying the Management and CSR team of any delay in scheduled flights.
- Performing a wide variety of duties as required.

Our client specialises in the transportation of high-value livestock and has been operatinginternationally and regionally for a number of years, often on behalf of royalty and high net-worth clients. This role will directly report to the MD and have complete responsibility for the import and export of the livestock and related equipment. The Operations Controller will ensure that there is clear communication between the internal staff, clients, agents and suppliers and will be responsible for any other day-to-day operation issues. You will provide a personalised customer service role, being the first point of contact, answering queries in relation to logistics and veterinary advice provided by the Head of Operations. As part of the service provided, you will also negotiate and book flights, accommodation and arrange visas for accompanying personnel. A good understanding of import procedures will ensure that customs clearance is completed within 48 hours. All the correct documentation including permits and health certificates must be in place, which will require you to periodically meet flights arriving into the UAE airports. To successfully apply for this position, you will ideally have worked in air freight logistics specialising in animal transportation and have a sound understanding of the various legal requirements. You must have superb communication skills and be a committed team player who is prepared to be flexible with working hours to complete an assignment.
