We were honored to host a group of social workers from Gilgit Baltistan at TW Den on February 27, 2025, as part of an exposure visit organized by the Aga Khan Rural Support Program. It was a pleasure engaging with 25 passionate individuals exploring theater as a tool for social change.
The session began with interactive theater games led by Fizza Hasan, helping participants experience the power of storytelling. TW actors then performed two impactful scenes—one highlighting domestic violence and the role of institutions in addressing it, and another focusing on the issue of child marriages and its consequences.
Following the performances, Safeer Ullah Khan facilitated a discussion on script development and the importance of understanding audience perspectives. The participants actively shared their experiences and discussed how theater could support their advocacy efforts.
We deeply appreciate the positive response and enthusiasm shown by the delegates. Many expressed interest in incorporating theater into their community work, and we look forward to potential collaborations.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful exchange. We hope to continue using theater to spark important conversations and drive positive change.
Best regards,
Theatre Wallay Team
